Description of the project
The thermonet was established approximately 10 years ago, and supplies six households. The thermonet was chosen, among other reasons, to avoid excavation and construction work on each individual property, as with individual geothermal heating solutions. The local initiator had a field available for the thermonet to be located in. The horizontal pipes are placed on the field, and runs into the road and distributes to the six consumers, whose heat pumps are connected to the thermonet through branch pipes. Each household has their own individual heat pump of 10 kW, which delivers the total heat supply to the buildings. It is the responsibility of each household to have authorized service of the heat pumps once a year. The thermonet is only providing heat for the houses, not cooling.

Highlights of the project
When the thermonet was proposed, the positive interest of the residents on Spættevej towards the thermonet, is thought to have been due to the local initiative and communal interesets og the planning.
The biggest challenges / obstacles
On the basis of this case, it is recommeneded for other projects, to have a clear agreement of whom has the responsibilities of operation and service of the thermonet. Also there is financial benefits from having a collective service agreement, rather than individual.
