Description of the project
There are 4 buildings connected to the system, two of which have 23 appartments each, and in each the total area of all appartments is 1846.18 m2 and the total heating area of all apartments is 1644.29 m2. There are 21 apartments and 6 business premises in one building, the total area of all appartments and business premises is 2,127.81 m2, and the total heating area is 1,902.29 m2. One building is only commercial, it has 7 units, and the total area and the total heating area are 2,639.89 m2. For commercial and business premises, the system is used for heating and cooling, and for appartments only for heating.

Highlights of the project
In the summer season when the system is set up to cooling for only the business building, it can produce heating energy for heating up the sanitary water for the appartments in the other 3 buildings. When temperature of sanitary water reaches 55°C,the heated medium is sent to the heat exchangers in the piles so that the 'earth' cools the medium and thus the cycle of gas evaporation continues.
The biggest challenges / obstacles
Because of the position of the geothermal heat pump in the central part of garage in one of the buildings (blocks) of the settlement it is difficult to connect a backup heating/cooling system. The filters of the geothermal piles need to be continuously checked, to provide enough flow of the medium in the system.
